Tickets are now on sale for the 2026 Gower Walking Festival in Wales.
This year’s festival takes place from Saturday 5th September to Sunday 13th September 2026.
Now in its 22nd year, the festival aims to offer a diverse and sustainable programme of walking events, with minimal environmental impact, to educate and sometimes challenge all who take part. This year’s programme features 36 guided walks in and around the Gower Peninsula.
With a slate of walks for all abilities, increased desire for a variety of walks, a rise in popularity for staycations and coolcations, along with more people recognising the health benefits of walking, this year’s event is expected to attract up to 500 participants.
Walks include those along the seafront as well as more off the beaten track hikes, and themes including industrial history, churches, singing, local history and even football.
The hikes vary in difficulty and range from one to 24 miles. There is a cost associated with some of the walks.
The festival closes with a beach clean.
