Want to host the 2028 World Trails Conference?

The World Trails Conference steering committee is looking for a host for the 2028 World Trail Conference.

The steering committee has created a Guide for Applicants to outline the application and selection process for those interested in hosting the 2028 event.

All Organizational Members of the World Trails Network are eligible to apply to host. They may also jointly submit with organizations they wish to partner with.

The deadline for proposals is June 1, with a decision to be made in August.

The first World Trails Conference, which takes place every two years, was hosted in the Republic of Korea. The 2024 version, in Ottawa, Canada, saw more than 400 delegates from 35 countries in attendance. The 2026 event takes place in Perth, Australia.

The World Trails Conference is a global gathering of trail experts, trail managers and builders, trail destinations, enthusiasts and academics, who meet every two years to share knowledge, network and ensure the benefits trails offer society continue to be sustainable and supported around the world.
