The Walking Post podcast launches!

Apparently, there are more than two million podcasts launched every year. And here’s another…

Walking Post’s podcast aims to take what we do with articles – news about new trails, walking festivals, gear, clothing, new books, destinations, and much more – and put it in a lively podcast you can listen to while walking, or in the car, on the bus, or anywhere. You’ll be able to subscribe on Spotify, or wherever you listen to your podcasts.

The host, multiple award-winning broadcaster, editor, writer and photographer Jim Cornall, started out his media career on the radio in the 1980s after moving from Yorkshire to Canada. He has hosted several other award-winning podcasts, and produced others, while also teaching courses in podcasting.

This week on the walkingpost.com podcast our features are on the Malvern Walking Festival, and Capricorn Mohair Socks.

The Malvern Walking Festival features nine days of themed walks from May 24 to June 1. To tell us all about it is Peter Reynolds, chairman of the festival.

We also have a feature on the sock company Capricorn Mohair Socks, and a conversation with the company’s founder, Jon Monks, to discuss the company, the benefits of mohair and socks in general.

Please feel free to subscribe to the new weekly podcast, and of course you can reach out to us at jim@walkingpost.com with suggestions for interviews.
