The 20th annual Malvern Walking Festival will take place from Saturday, May 24 to Sunday, June 1, 2025.Â
The website, https://malvernwalking.uk/, is now open for bookings, and visitors can now create an account on the site to track orders and join waiting lists for sold-out walks.
This year, there are 56 walks and two multi-day trail walks.
The multi-day walks are the Worcestershire Way, which takes three days, and a four-day hike of the Hereford to Worcester section of the Three Choirs Way.
The single day walks include full- or half-day events, which range in length from two to 20 miles. The two most strenuous walks are the 20-mile Malvern Hills end-to-end and back, and the 10-mile Teme Valley Spectacular. The difficulty of each walk is graded from gentle to strenuous.
Many of the walks are themed. These include farming, geology, nature reserves, plants, trees, water, quarries and history. The history walks include wartime Malvern, the Civil War, industry, hill forts, and the King’s Thirds.
The walks take place on and around the Malvern Hills – an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB) – and some further afield in Worcestershire, Herefordshire and also Gloucestershire.
