A new walking and cycling app designed to help users discover the hidden gems of Bolsover district and beyond has been launched.
From historic landmarks to nature reserves, the app offers a selection of the best walking and cycling routes, with fully detailed descriptions, providing all essential information. Whether you’re hiking, biking or out for a Sunday stroll with the family, the North Derbyshire, North Nottinghamshire (NDNN) trails app is a dedicated local guide.
The app is free to download and use, and features a variety of trails for all ages and abilities. There are offline maps and GPS for easy navigation, trail details, ratings, and reviews, and the ability to discover local landmarks, attractions, and events along the way
The app has been developed by Bolsover District Council, Dragonfly Management (Bolsover) Ltd, Bolsover Countryside Partnership, AT Creative and local artist Lucie Maycock. The app was formed around the flagship route, the Bolsover Loop, a 26-mile walking and cycling trail that weaves through the landscapes where Derbyshire and Nottinghamshire meet.
The app is available from the App Store or Google Play, by searching for North Derbys & Notts Trails.
